Estate of the Late Dr J.G. Strickland

Pearce & Associates has been commissioned by the heirs to sell a large quantity of personal property items from the Late Dr J.G. Strickland Estate in Alpine, Alabama.
Dr Strickland was a well known dentist and cattle farmer and owned this incredible 1850’s Antebellum Home until his death.
We are also selling the remaining items from the Townley Estate, Pelham, AL.
About Dr J.G. Strickland:
Dr J G Strickland was born in Talladega county Alabama and grew up during the depression. He served our country proudly in the South Pacific during World War II. Upon his return, he attended the University of Alabama Birmingham and earned a degree in dentistry. In 1968, he purchased the Alpine home and farm from the Welch family that had originally owned the home from the time it was built in 1858. In 1977, his love for cows resulted in a commercial dairy on this farm which continued until 1999. He did not stop his practice, however; he continued to see patients in a building on the farm that was converted to a dental office. Although Dr. Strickland passed away in August of 2008, he will always be remembered by his family and the people of the community as a generous man who was willing to help those in need.
