Pearce & Associates is conducting its annual auction liquidation of surplus assets for the Shelby County School System.
 
20 plus buses, vehicles, equipment, school surplus, salvage, electronics, office equipment, shop items, more!   JUST ADDED!  (2) Mobile Home Classrooms - One sells offsite from the Columbiana location.  Classroom is located at Riverchase Middle School and the buyer will have to remove it from there.  The other is on the BOE storage lot in Columbiana.  

Auction will be held online and live, onsite!
All online bids will end on Tuesday, April 3rd at 7:00pm.
Your online bid will become the starting bid at the live event which will be held on Wednesday, April 4th at 10:00am.
Do not bid online if you plan to attend the live auction!
The Shelby County Board of Education requires that we conduct a live auction and the online bidding is to allow our internet bidders the opportunity to participate.  Online bidders pay 15% buyers premium plus sales tax unless you are tax exempt.
Online bidders will be emailed an invoice for their purchases on Wednesday evening.  Only winning bidders will be notified.  If you do not receive an invoice for your purchase, then someone place a bid higher than your online bid at the live auction.
We will automatically charge your credit card for your online purchases. 
 
NOTE:  This is a surplus auction which means some items may be damaged, broken or in good operating condition.  Pearce & Associates and the Shelby County Board of Eduction encourages all bidders to inspect items in person.  Everything sells as is, where is without warranty or guarantee.  We have described the items to the best of our ability, however, we do not guarantee anything!

Please read the terms carefully as they are a legal binding contract between you and Pearce & Associates Auctioneers.



All disputes will be settled in Shelby County, Alabama.



We encourage you to inspect the items in person.

If purchases are not settled within 3 business days of the close of the auction,

it is in default. Upon default the bidder will be black listed on Pearce &

Associates Auctioneers auctions as well as MarkNet auctions and

will be charged for the merchandise. Defaulted items will be forfeited back to

the owner or Pearce & Associates.

NOTE: Pickup & Payment - Time is of the essence.

The Shelby County Board of Education requires that all purchases be paid for and removed from their facility no later than Friday, April 6th at 2:00pm. The only exception will be School Buses and Scrap Metal. Winning bidders may remove them by Wednesday, April 11. No weekend pickup. No pickup after 2:00pm daily as the facility is closed after 2:00pm.



No refunds will be given.

Pearce & Associates Auctioneers reserves the right to cancel any auction at any time for any reason.



There will be a 15% buyer�s premium added to final bid price.

Sales tax collected unless you provide Pearce with a copy of your tax resale certificate.



Bidding info- When you bid your max the current bid price doesn't automatically go to

your max bid. Someone else has to bid to increase the current price and the

computer will automatically bid up to your max in the increments specified.



This auction has what is called an auto extend feature, meaning the auction will not close until all bidding parties are satisfied. If any bids are placed within the last 10 minutes of the auction, the bid on lot(s) will extend for 10 minutes. The bidding will extend

in 10 minute increments from the time the last bid is placed until there are

no more bids, and the lot sits idle for 10 minutes.



Pearce & Associates Auctioneers have put forth every effort to make accurate

description of the items. Printed or verbal statements made by staff are

matters of opinion and are made in good faith. However, all items are sold As

Is Where IS. You are responsible for your own inspection during inspection

periods.



No allowance will be made for errors in cataloging, genuineness, defects, or imperfections not noted.



All sales are final! A bid is a legal binding contract

between you and Pearce & Associates Auctioneers.



Pearce & Associates reserve the right to reject any and all bids for any reason.



All accounts must be settled for at the end of the auction. All winning internet bidders will be charged on their credit card. Final purchase price will

include sales tax & buyer�s premium. Sales tax will be collected unless you are tax

exempt and can provide us with a copy of your tax exemption certificate. Non Alabama

residents are exempt from paying sales tax on vehicles.

Pearce & Associates will mail out all titles to vehicles by registered mail within 10 days of auctions end.



Bidder responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



Bidders agree to keep their username and password confidential as they are responsible for ANY and ALL activity involving their account.



When using the web site you must obey any and all local state and federal laws. Violations will result in termination of web site use privileges. We gather aggregate information from this web site which may include but is not limited to: number of page visitors,

most visited pages, any and all correspondence.
